Automatic alerts

The algorithm records without the patient taking action when it detects:

  • Atrial fibrillation
  • Tachycardia
  • Bradycardia
  • Pauses

Patients can also manually record any moment when they feel a symptom.

The event monitor stays with the patient for the days needed to capture the moment.

When is it indicated?

For symptoms that do not appear during an appointment

An ECG in the office lasts seconds. Many symptoms occur days apart. Your doctor may recommend an event monitor for:

  • Palpitations
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Irregular heartbeats
  • Suspected atrial fibrillation
  • Follow-up after treatment
  • Intermittent symptoms with no clear cause

Your doctor always determines whether the study is appropriate.

How long should I wear it?

MyCardia AT can be worn continuously for up to 30 days. Your doctor determines the length of the study.

What should I do if I feel a symptom?

Press the monitor’s button and note when you had the symptom. Send the recordings through your phone’s app or a landline, following your medical team’s instructions.

Does it record even if I feel nothing?
